Description Metastatic brain tumors are one type of tumor that originated from cancer in other body parts. Tumor or a cancer that attacks the brain usually from lung cancer, breast cancer, melanoma, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, or certain sarcomas. Some cancer cells carried to the brain by the blood or lymphatic fluid, or may spread from adjacent tissue.Brain tumors can directly destroy brain cells. Site where the cancer cells originated is called the primary cancer. Metastatic brain tumors are often referred to as brain injury or metastases.
