Trisomy 18 is a relatively common syndrome affecting approximately 1 in 3,000 birthshidup.Sindrom this is three times more common in girls than boys. This syndrome iscaused by the presence of extra material from chromosome 18. Additional materialinterferes with normal development.

Treatment
Medical management of children with trisomy 18 was planned on a case-by-case basis and depends on the situation of each patient.
